National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) is an invitation/achievement-based admission pathway to state universities. The management and processing of data for the purposes of SNBP selection are carried out by the National Selection Team for New Student Admissions, under the Educational Testing Management Center (SNPMB-BPPP).
SNBP is conducted based on the assessment of students’ academic achievements using school report cards as well as academic and non-academic accomplishments. The report cards considered are from the first to the fifth semester for students of senior high schools (SMA/MA) or vocational schools (SMK) with a three-year study program, or from the first to the seventh semester for vocational school students (SMK) with a four-year study program. Academic and non-academic achievements taken into account are the three best accomplishments of each student. Schools registering their students for SNBP must possess a National School Identification Number (NPSN) and enter the eligible students’ achievement data accurately and completely into the School and Student Database (PDSS). The PDSS can be accessed through the following link: https://portal-snpmb.bppp.kemdikbud.go.id/.
There are no fees charged to participants of SNBP. All costs for organizing SNBP are fully covered by the government. This pathway also accommodates prospective students from economically disadvantaged families who demonstrate high academic achievement, through the Indonesia Smart College Card (KIP-K) program. Applicants seeking financial assistance through the KIP-K scheme must first review the registration procedures of the KIP-K program. Detailed information on KIP-K can be found at the Center for Education Financing Services via the website: https://kip-kuliah.kemdikbud.go.id.
Recipients of the KIP-K program are not permitted to transfer to another study program. Therefore, POLBAN WILL NOT PROCESS ANY REQUESTS FOR KIP-K TRANSFERS.

The management and processing of data for the purposes of SNBT selection are carried out by the National Selection Team for New Student Admissions, under the Educational Testing Management Center (SNPMB-BPPP).
SNBT participants are required to take the Computer-Based Written Examination (UTBK). The cost of administering the SNBT is borne by the participants, with subsidies provided by the government.
This pathway also accommodates prospective students from economically disadvantaged families who demonstrate high academic achievement, through the Indonesia Smart College Card (KIP-K) program.
